Enhanced DBFS Lifestyle Questionnaire
Dear Valued Partner,
Neurowyzr is continuing to make changes to the Digital Brain Function Screen (DBFS) in order to deliver more value to your patients.
To do this, we will be making some changes to the Lifestyle Questionnaire and Domains within DBFS. These changes will allow DBFS to provide more actionable guidance to enable patients to improve their cognitive well-being.
Key Updates
- Streamlined Lifestyle Questionnaire:
- The number of lifestyle questions has been reduced from 17 to 14, creating a shorter experience for patients.
- Questions have been refined to focus on lifestyle factors that patients can change to improve their brain health, such as physical activity, nutrition, and sleep.
- Improved Instructions:
- Clearer and more user-friendly instructions have been added to guide patients seamlessly through the test.
- New Lifestyle Domain: Well-being
- This new domain assesses factors that can influence brain health, including:
- Menopausal Symptoms: Evaluates vasomotor symptoms (e.g., hot flashes and night sweats) that may affect cognitive health.
- Behavioural Changes: Identifies modifiable risk factors for cognitive decline, such as apathy, social withdrawal, and emotional well-being.
- Updated COVID-19 Question:
- The COVID-19 question now emphasises severe symptoms that may have long-term effects on brain health.
- The response options have been refined for clarity and scientific accuracy.
- Enhanced Clinical Relevance:
- Each lifestyle domain is tied to personalised recommendations based on risk levels (Low Risk, Medium Risk, High Risk) to support clinicians in providing actionable, tailored advice to patients.
Benefits for Clinicians and Patients
Together, these changes will bring the following benefits:
- Focus on Modifiable Risk Factors: Questions target lifestyle areas where patients can take meaningful action to improve brain health.
- Actionable Guidance: Personalised recommendations empower patients to make changes in areas such as diet, physical activity, sleep, and stress management.
- Efficient Assessments: A shorter, streamlined questionnaire reduces test time while maintaining depth of insights.
- Holistic Well-being Assessment: The inclusion of menopausal symptoms and behavioural changes offers a broader understanding of factors that influence brain health.
- Improved Engagement: Simplified instructions and a focus on actionable outcomes foster meaningful discussions between clinicians and patients.
These updates represent our continued commitment to providing scientifically robust, patient-centered tools that support clinicians in advancing brain health care.
The changes will take effect from 26 February 2025 (Wednesday) onwards.

Thank you for your continued partnership in improving brain health.
